We didn’t learn about agencies.
We are one.
Core Accounting Group was built for digital agency owners because every other firm was built for everyone else. We know your world because we live in it.
Built for digital agency owners who outgrew their accountant
At Core Accounting & Consulting Group, we help digital agency owners doing $500K–$3M gain real clarity and control over their finances — so they can make smarter decisions, reduce their tax bill, and actually understand where their money is going.
We specialize in S-corporations with 1–2 owners in the digital marketing space. We know what ROAS means. We know what a Stripe payout looks like in QuickBooks. We know the S-corp reasonable comp question you’ve been meaning to revisit. And we know what it’s like to run a business while wearing too many hats at once.
Our fully virtual firm delivers expert accounting and tax strategy with a personal touch — proactive, responsive, and always looking for ways to help you keep more of what you earn.

Barry Roach Jr., EA
Enrolled Agent · Founder, Core Accounting Group & AIQ SystemsI’m probably the only accountant you’ll talk to who also runs a GoHighLevel agency.
My mom ran an accounting firm, and I was doing tax returns next to her by age 12. That turned into an accounting degree from Susquehanna University, 10 years running her firm, and in 2022 I branched out and purchased Core Accounting to build something of my own.
What’s different about where we ended up: I didn’t just learn about digital agencies from clients. I run one. AIQ Systems is a GHL-based digital marketing business — I use the platform daily, I know what ROAS means and why it doesn’t tell the full story, and I’ve personally dealt with every financial problem I help clients solve. When we talk about your finances, we’re speaking the same language.
I’m not your typical stuffy accountant. I believe business owners should actually understand their numbers — not just trust that someone’s handling it. My clients ask the “dumb questions” and get real answers. No jargon. No judgment. The thing I love most about this work is looking at the whole picture, running the numbers from every angle, and building plans that actually put money back in your pocket.
When I’m not in a GHL dashboard or a QBO file, you’ll find me coaching little league, day trading futures, or at my son’s games.
The people behind the work
Small team. High standards. Every client has a real person handling their account — not a rotating staff of juniors.
Enrolled Agent, agency operator, and the person who built this firm because he couldn’t find an accountant who understood his own business. Handles tax strategy, S-corp planning, and the Agency Money Map.
Jim brings a calm, steady presence to the team — quietly handling tax returns and monthly accounting work with a sharp eye and a thoughtful approach. He’s not one for the spotlight, but his ability to ease a client’s concerns and go above and beyond doesn’t go unnoticed. Originally from near Punxsutawney, now in Jefferson, PA. Usually in the garden, on the road, or listening to music.
Morgan is the friendly voice most clients hear first — and the one making sure everything stays on track behind the scenes. She handles return prep and QBO bookkeeping, keeps things moving, and has a knack for helping clients feel more confident about their taxes. From Delta, lives in Stewartstown. Always on the go with her son Colton, a beach person, country music fan, and genuinely great with people.
What an Enrolled Agent is — and why it matters
An Enrolled Agent is a tax professional licensed by the federal government — specifically by the IRS. It’s the highest credential the IRS grants, with unlimited practice rights: any taxpayer, any tax matter, any IRS office, in any state.
CPAs are state-licensed. EAs are federally licensed — designed specifically for tax work and IRS representation. For a digital agency owner with a multi-state virtual business, contractor teams, and an S-corp, having federal-level tax representation matters.
Barry passed the IRS Special Enrollment Examination — a three-part test on individual taxation, business taxation, and representation. The EA credential is the specialization; the digital agency expertise is the value on top of it.
EA vs. CPA
CPAs are state-licensed generalist accountants. EAs are federally licensed tax specialists. For tax work and IRS representation, the EA credential is built for exactly this purpose.
Federal Practice Rights
Unlimited representation before any IRS office, on any tax matter, in any state. No geographic or matter-type restrictions.
Passed the SEE
The IRS Special Enrollment Exam covers individual taxation, business taxation, and representation. Ongoing CE required to maintain the license.
Virtual · All 50 States
Fully virtual firm. The EA license has no state restrictions — we can serve and represent clients anywhere in the US.
