Barry Roach, EA

I’m Barry Roach Jr., Enrolled Agent and owner of Core Accounting & Consulting Group. My journey into accounting started unusually early — at just 12 years old, I was side-by-side with my mom in her firm, learning the ropes one tax return at a time. That early exposure turned into a full-fledged career after I earned my accounting degree from Susquehanna University and went on to run her business for 10 years. In 2022, I branched out and purchased Core Accounting, determined to build something of my own.

I’m not your typical “stuffy accountant.” I’m honest, laid back, and big on helping business owners actually understand their finances — not just get the numbers right. You won’t find me in a suit. I believe you can be both professional and approachable — and my clients appreciate that they can ask the “dumb questions” without judgment.

My favorite part of this work? Looking at the whole picture, running the numbers from every angle, and creating customized plans that help my clients save money and feel more in control.

Outside of tax codes and spreadsheets, you’ll probably find me coaching little league, day trading futures, or cheering from the sidelines of my son’s games. Life’s all about balance — and I bring that same mindset to every client relationship.

Jim Coleman

Jim Coleman brings a calm, steady presence to the team — quietly handling tax returns and monthly accounting work with a sharp eye and a thoughtful approach. He’s not one for the spotlight, but his ability to ease a client’s concerns and go above and beyond doesn’t go unnoticed. He takes pride in delivering accurate, reliable work that helps people feel more confident about their financial situation.

Originally from a small farming town near Punxsutawney, Jim now lives in Jefferson, PA. Outside the office, you’ll usually find him in the garden, on the road traveling, or enjoying music of all kinds. He’s recently renewed his focus on fitness and nutrition, and always makes time for family and friends. Around here, Jim’s the guy you can count on to get it done — and get it done right.

Morgan Potts

Morgan Potts is the friendly voice most clients hear first — and the one quietly making sure everything stays on track behind the scenes. She’s been part of the Core team for the past few tax seasons, helping with return prep and now diving into monthly bookkeeping work in QBO. Organized, quick to learn, and great with people, she keeps things moving (and keeps the rest of us in check).

Originally from Delta, Morgan’s lived in Stewartstown for over 15 years. When she’s not at the office, she’s usually on the go with her son, Colton — headed to a practice, a game, or just spending time with family and friends. She’s a beach-any-chance-she-gets kind of person, a country music fan, and an occasional reader (as long as the book grabs her by chapter two). Around here, she’s always picking up something new — and helping clients feel a little more confident about their taxes in the process.
